Across the city boundaries into Lake Forest, residents there were equally pleased. For Lake Forest resident Melissa Vaught, the news couldn't come at a better time. "I just moved here on Saturday," said the 26-year-old dance instructor. "I work here and I've always felt safe but now I feel even safer." Mike Jones, a 20-year resident wasn't surprised at all. "It's well patrolled here," said Jones, 56, "I've never thought about not feeling safe." And for local Realtor Vicki Lloyd, the news was good. "I think that the value of this report is that it can provide local real estate agents with a little more to talk about regarding the quality of life here in south Orange County. It's very difficult to say if it helps increase home values, but it can definitely give relocating buyers a warm and fuzzy feeling about this area." |
